English
I am the beginning, the middle, and the end of all creation, Arjuna. Among all forms of knowledge, I am the knowledge of the true self; among speakers, I am the reasoned debate that seeks truth.
What this verse means
Krishna says he is the beginning, middle, and end of all creation. He is also the deepest self-knowledge and the honest debate that seeks truth.
Context & commentary
On the battlefield, Arjuna stands frozen while Krishna keeps revealing where the divine can be seen. After naming many visible forms, Krishna says he is the start, middle, and end of every creation, and the truth-seeking debate among those who study.
Why this verse still matters
You are in a room where two people argue past each other, each trying to win. Krishna points to the kind of speech that actually searches for truth, not ego.
The takeaway
Reality is not random or separate from the divine; even truth-seeking speech belongs to that same presence.
