Hindi ·
English
This much I have gained today; I will get this desire fulfilled. This wealth is mine now, and more will be mine again.
What this verse means
A deluded person keeps thinking, “I have gained this, I will get more, and this wealth will keep increasing.”
Context & commentary
Krishna is exposing the inner speech of the demonic-minded person after describing greed, rage, and unfair gain. The speaker is not a hero in battle but a mind trapped in endless acquisition, convinced that today’s gain will lead to tomorrow’s.
Why this verse still matters
You check your account after a bonus and immediately start planning the next purchase, the next upgrade, the next win. The mind never says, enough.
The takeaway
Possession can become a trap when the mind keeps turning gain into hunger.
